History
Uniesse was originally launched in Italy in 1990 by two brothers, Danielo and Giuseppe Scaburri. The Scaburri family was known in Europe as a notable manufacturer of wooden buttons since World War II. Then, Uniesse turned to resin as button material over time. Today, this background inspires Uniesse in using the same polymer material to maintain the finish of its models' gelcoat. After 29 years of worldwide operations, the company was acquired by the Miami-based Uniesse Marine Group, LLC, led by SMB investor David Schwedel. Rafael Barca introduced Uniesse to the U.S. market in 1994 with the sale of approximately 200 motor yachts before acquisition. The boats received detailed reviews from several magazines including the Boat, Power, Yacht and Boat and Motoryacht magazines. Many models of Uniesse's boats and yachts also received in-depth coverage in the Yachting Magazine.
